Magic On Pre-Season

Town manager Jim Magilton says he is happier with how his second pre-season in charge of Town has gone. Jim: "I have now got the players I have brought in and moulded the team in the sort of shape I want.

"And there were certain aspects of pre-season I did not particularly like.

"So this time I have had an opportunity to go about it as I saw fit and on the whole it has been very positive - the feed back from all the players has been they are feeling fit and sharp.

"I felt last year we went into our first game a little bit under-cooked and not prepared as I would have liked, so I am eliminating any excuses and getting the players focused on the job in hand."
