Francis Jeffers has confirmed he would pick a move to Town over another club if Blackburn Rovers decide they do not need him. The 26-year-old striker spent the last two months of the season on-loan at Town from Blackburn and in that time he scored 4 goals in 9 appearances and became a fans favourite in that time. It is hoped he will be able to sign for Town although a number of other clubs are reportedly keen on him but Jeffers says Town would be his choice.

Franny: "Ipswich fans have not seen the best of me yet, but I think my nightmare is coming to an end, you only have to look at the manager and the training ground to see this club belongs in the top flight.

"And the fans have been great, which makes a big difference.

"If Mark Hughes is happy for me to leave Blackburn then Ipswich would be my choice. I am sure I can agree a deal."
