Town made easy work of struggling Barnsley at Portman Road earlier today, beating the visitors 5-1.

Town made easy work of struggling Barnsley at Portman Road earlier today, beating the visitors 5-1.Town’s first goal came after just 2 minutes when Gary Roberts was on hand to smash the ball home from inside 12 yards.

 

Jon Walters made it 2-0 2 minutes before the half time break with his effort from 20-yards.

 

Francis Jeffers came on for Alan Lee at the half time break.

 

Barnsley got a goal back in the 79^th minute when Daniel Nardiello sent his free kick into the top corner but Town responded with goals from Danny Haynes from 12 yards, Jeffers from 12 yards after he left unmarked in the Barnsley box and Walters got the fifth after Jeffers had hit the post.
