Town manager Jim Magilton was far from pleased with Alex Bruce for getting booked but was pleased Matt Richards scored the winner.

Jim: “Alex Bruce was a silly boy to get booked and miss two games.

 

“Someone might come in and he might not get his place back.

 

“I am delighted for Matt Richards as I have always encouraged him to shoot from the edge of the box as he has a good left foot.

 

“The lure of the fourth round was always on our minds, and we did not play with much zip.

 

“The result was the most important thing and we take this and move on.”
