STB brings you team news, manager previews, betting odds and officials ahead of Towns game against Chester City tonight (KO 7:45pm).

Town are without Jason De Vos who has broke a bone in his foot, Owen Garvan who has cut his foot and Darren Currie who has flu, David Wright is also unable to play as he was not a Town player when the original game was played. So Fabian Wilnis may start at right back in place of Alex Bruce who looks the likely partner for Richard Naylor in the middle of defence although Ian Miller has been recalled from his loan at Boston United but is cup-tied. 

 

Squad: Barron, Brittain, Bruce, Clarke, Harding, Haynes, Lee, Legwinski, Miller, Naylor, Peters, Price, Richards, Roberts, Sito, Supple, Williams, Wilnis.

 

Town manager Jim Magilton: “This is an important period starting with Chester. That gives us confidence to go into Saturday's game against Colchester and then again against Swans at home in the cup the week after.

 

“The prize is another home game and a good cup run can spur you on the league. It gives you impetus

 

“Chester will come here and enjoy the surroundings and the atmosphere and give it a go.

 

“We need people as individuals and collectively to take charge and take the risk to win.

 

“I would like to see more goals shared around and more from set-plays.”

 

Chester defender Ashley Westwood is out with a hamstring injury, midfielder Glenn Cronin is out while Rob Marsh Evans looks to be out.

  

City's assistant manager, Graham Barrow: “There is a gulf in class between the squads, but we played particularly well in the drawn game at Chester. They have a number of quality players in their side, but I thought we were equal to them in the first match and with a little bit of luck we could have nicked it.

 

“If we show the same sort of commitment that we showed in the match at home, then you never know what can happen. The FA Cup's history is littered with stories of upsets and shocks, so we will be going all out to create our own little bit of history.”
