Town have signed former Fulham goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny on a one month long contract as cover for Lewis Price.

The 27-year-old has been training with the Town first team this week and agreed to join for a month earlier today, he has gone straight into the squad for Town’s game against Luton on Sunday.

 

Drobny: “I agreed to end my contract at Fulham and became a free agent in the summer, I went back to Greece and trained with Panionios and then my agent called and said that Ipswich were short of a goalkeeper.

 

“I have trained with the first-team this week and the manager has asked me to stay for a month which I am delighted to do.

 

“Ipswich has a fantastic stadium and fantastic training facilities so it's a good chance for me. I'm only here for a month but I have been made to feel very welcome and if I do well here then perhaps there maybe a chance to stay longer.

 

“That will be down to the Club of course so we will have to wait and see what happens.”
