Town midfielder Mark Noble has admitted Town were below their best against West Brom at Portman Road earlier today.

Mark: “We knew it wasn't going to be an easy game. They're a strong outfit and their new manager was sitting in the stand and that obviously spurred them on, to be honest, we weren't good enough on the day and we got what we deserved. Everyone in the dressing-room knew that we could have done much better than that. We've got no excuses, we shouldn't be beaten 5-1 at home.

 

“Sometimes you've got to be honest and admit that the team you've just played were a very good side and that was true today.

 

“It was even for the first half-hour and then they scored and it went downhill from there. I'm not making excuses but there were a couple of bad decisions from the referee and that didn't help.

 

“We'll get together in the morning and discuss today's performance. On Monday we'll train, put this behind us, and come out fresh to face Preston. The best remedy for today is to get a result on Tuesday.”
