Nev Backs Price

Former Welsh international goalkeeper Neville Southall expects Town goalkeeper Lewis Price to take over from Paul Jones in the Welsh goal, should Jones be dropped.

After Wales’ 5-1 thrashing against Slovakia on Saturday the have been calls for John Toshack to drop Jones in favour of another goalkeeper and Southall expects it to be Price, if it happens.

 

Southall: “I would only put one goal down to Paul against Slovakia and I'm not sure changing the 'keeper is the right thing to do with so many young players in the side, if Tosh does leave out Paul I would expect Lewis to step up and I'm sure he won't let anyone down.

 

“I had him with me when I was coaching the U18s and U19s and he's a good 'keeper who has done well with Ipswich.”
