Shane Supple came up through the ranks at Ipswich Town and was in goal for Town when they beat Southampton to win the F.A youth cup final at Portman road in 2005.

 

Capped by his country at Youth levels Supple, at the age of 19, won the Town no.1 shirt, Although his start as no.1 did not go as he would have liked beginning the 2006/07 season, and he lost his place in the starting 11 to Lewis Price. Supple however remains confident and keeps Price on his toes for a place back in goal.

 

Supple made his debut at the age of 18 at Leicester City’s Walkers Stadium in August 2005 when he had to replace an injured Lewis Price, Supple played an hour of that match, managing to keep a clean sheet he won immediate admiration and respect from many of the Town fans.
