Town manager Jim Magilton is urging Town fans to remain calm despite the poor start to the season.

Town went to the bottom of the championship following a 3-1 defeat against Leicester at the Walkers Stadium earlier today.

 

But Jim is remaining upbeat and is urging the Blue Army to do the same, saying: “I'm certainly not losing belief in my ability and know we are capable of getting decent results in this league.

 

“It's important that everyone stays calm and the players retain belief in their ability.

 

“I knew this would be a tough job and that we will have our ups and downs but I and my coaching staff know where we want to go and how we are going to get there and any player that doesn't want to come with me won't be at Ipswich Town.

 

“We have 43 games to go and have to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and get on with it - and we will.

 

“We've brought in Dan Harding and Alex Bruce and while they weren't at their best against Leicester, they have added some quality to the squad and Mark (Noble) will do the same.

 

“We're on the lookout to bring in more players but it's important to start getting some points on the board because that makes it easier to sell the Club to players we want to bring here.”
