Town striker Dean Bowditch says he is looking forward to making a fresh start under new Town manager Jim Magilton.

Dean burst on to the scene as a Town player against Norwich in 2003 setting up Fabian Wilnis and Darren Bent in Town’s 2-0 win but has since failed to live up to expectations but with Jim now in charge all that should change.

 

Dean: “It was a clean slate for everyone when Jim Magilton took over, he came to me and told me to wipe everything out of my head and get back to the form I showed when I first came into the team.

 

“I think I have been doing that in training and also in pre-season. Hopefully now I can take that into the new campaign.

 

“My confidence has slipped a little over the last couple of seasons. I wasn't happy with myself, with the way I was playing.

 

“The change of management has probably come at a good time for me. It has allowed me to make a new start.

 

“There's a really positive vibe at the Club at the moment with Jim and Bryan Klug and that can only be a good thing.

 

“We underachieved last season. Now we have to push for the Play-Offs at the minimum.”
