Mike Rayer's boys have the ideal opportunity to build on their great start to 2020 with the visit of the college boys from Hartpury (kick off 3.00 on Saturday).
The visitors are an unusual bunch far removed form the normal club ethos from which our opposition usually develops.
Their ties are with a college whose focus is very much on elite sport and as a home (for the moment) of Gloucester Rugby's training grounds - lots of player sharing as you would anticipate. In fact, Gloucester lock Simon Linsell has rejoined Hartpury on loan and will be in their team this week.
Once the partnership and focus was formed Hartpury were forced to start at the bottom of the league pyramid. It's fair to say they didn't make many friends as they hammered junior clubs who were lucky to train once a week, and whose focus was as much social social as it was sporting.
They have finally arrived at the second level, and the fact that Gloucester are busy moving away and setting up new training facilities may either make or break the team.
That's for the future. They arrive several places and five points ahead of a Blues side which is not accustomed to being in the lower reaches.
So we need to follow up last week's much better show at Scottish with another win.
There are a handful of changes with Grayson Hart back at scrum-half as Alex Day has gione back to Sarries. Alex Penny is back from his long injury and Robbie Smith and Oli Curry also start
And good to see Charlie Clare on the bench - he's on a short-term loan deal from Tigers.
Blues: 15 Pete Lydon, 14 Ryan Hutler, 13 Rich Lane, 12 Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas, 11 Dean Adamson, 10 Will Hooley, 9 Grayson Hart, 1 Sean McCarthy (Capt)
2 Robbie Smith, 3 Alex Penny, 4 Jordan Onojaife, 5 Oli Curry, 6 Dan Temm, 7 Joe Atkinson, 8 Alafoti Fa’osiliva.
Reps: Charlie Clare, Joe Wrafter, Henry Paul, Ed Taylor, Josh Buggea, James Lennon, Sam Leeming, Matt Worley

‘I wonder how many more "must win games" we'll have ?’
I stand to be corrected on this......but is the answer.....’hopefully one more than the club immediately below us’
