We are now just two  points behind second placed Trailfinders after a tremendous team effort secured a vital 23-18 win .. can we now kick on and even put pressure on leaders Irish?

Realistically "no" unless the Exiles implode, which is unlikely given their resources.

So let's savour a great game and an even better win thanks to tries from Chris Czekaj and Dean Adamson with Will Hooley kicking 13 points.

But it was a victory built on defence.

We were trailing 16-18 with a quarter of an hour left and got our rewards. It came from a line-out with Hutler bursting clear of several tackles and sending Adamson in under the posts.

Ealing were desperate to regain the lead but heroic defence and sensible game management secured the win.
