Rotten Start

Games against the Pirates always seem to to produce the unexpected but until this latest encounter they have always been entertaining. 

The Blues played as thouigh it was just another warm-up game, while the Cormnishmen had the necessary vigour and power in  the pack and were full value for their 26-17 win.

They also had a kicker in stand-off will Cargill who kept the scoreboard ticking for them,  and statsitically he was the difference as the teams scored two tries each.

Ours came from Dean Adamson and Jason Hill with Matt Evans and Tom Duncan crossing for Pirates.

One suspects a few beastings in training this week and we all pray for a more dynamic show in the Channel Islands this week.

The Jerseymen won easily at Richmond so will be fired up for our visit, and it won't get any easier with games again Irish and Donnie Knights in the nextt few weeks.

I don't think the win over Richmond was any surprise really. The interesting result was Donny getting 0 Pts.,....

Onwards and upwards, I expect M.R.A.D to make plenty of changes for Jersey, which will hopefully mean a place for Toops and Farrell. COYB
