Fenton-Wells

For the second week running we were kicked in the teeth right at the death and our chances of progressing in the B & I are now somewhat slim ...

The last ditch try was converted by Cross Keys' Dorian Jones to seal a 23-22 win for the visitors. We were stood there thinking it can't happen again - but it did.

We'd got the first try when new boy Hakalo barged his way through tackles to set up Dean Adamson and then we got two more through James Pritchard and skipper Nick Fenton-Wells.

We were 16 poinst ahead and should have gone on to close the game down with Cross Keys reeling.

But rugby is never that simple.

On their first real attack powerful winger Uhi Polo scored in the corner, and then the visitors took advantage of a yellow for Darrell Dyer - Simon Williams using his strength to go over form a line-out.

In the second half we wasted a golden opportunity to stretch our lead when the Booj slipped as he was a certainty to score.

We did slot a penalty, and that looked to be enough, but the Keys kept battling and reduced our lead to a dodgy six points beofre that injury time winner.

It was another close range affair with Leon Andrews driving over from close range. We had led throughout but not when it mattered the most.
