The blues played very well. I was really encouraged. We lost on our set pieces, what was going on at the line-out?
The boys hit all their tackles, great commitment all-round, the pressures on the blues try line in the 2nd half were incredible - fantastic blues defending.

On the whole we defended well, LS had a very good rolling maul we couldn't keep out though, and that was the main difference. I have rarely seen us drop more balls at critical moments, we'd make a good break, pass the ball and it'd be dropped. The lineout went missing again, scrum was pretty solid and competed well, and we looked better going forward than LS, made more linebreaks but couldn't finish them off.
Oh well, roll on next season

This comment just highlights your ignorance, of course you can take positives from a defeat, I'm not going to bother explaining this as I'd be wasting my time.

no explain how a loss is anything but a loss? a close loss maybe?

well they scored more than us so clearly we didn't

I find some comments on this forum terribly disheartening. When performances are bad then criticism can be fair and just, but when you watch a performance such as the one on Sunday when the lads gave it there all and then come on here to see comments such as Luton_Blue's you are left wondering sometimes.

Here's an idea LB - it is club night on a Thursday, why not nip along and tell the players face to face where they are going wrong. While you're at it, Mike Rayer and the coaches will also be there and I'm sure they'd appreciate your words of wisdom.

ps I know how the players react to a defeat, probably better than you guys! Having coached at the club for a few years during thr Jackson era - they don't dress it up or look through the rosé tinted like you guys do! A defeat is a defeat!

They don't look for positives from a defeat but they look for negatives to improve on!

are you the 'jolly good show, played extremely well' crew? In which case in your eyes we've had an excellent season, and you've had value for money from your admission price and it would be fruitless of me arguing with you because in your eyes, we could never lose! Even in defeat!

I reserve my right to be disheartening and critical and I would hope anybody connected with the club would accept that.

Given our last few seasons, we would have expected a level of performance this year - our league position says differently.

If mike Rayer listened to you guys 'jolly good game chaps' he'd have an easy job, because next season he'd think 'more of the same, doesn't matter'

Do neither of you read Pritchard or Atkinsons recent comments? or do you dress them up to hear only what you want to? Both have said that even playing well in defeat is not acceptable - I'd rather respect their opinions than yours!

Me, I'm far from a defeatist bu a realist! We've lost more than we've won, we're near the bottom of the league - in future years, no amount of 'ah but we nearly won' or 'played well in defeat' will dress this up or disguise it!

like it or not, but I'm right! If you can take a positive from a defeat, then you'll accept defeat - ask mo farah!

all in good spirits, nothing nasty or too personal (if it ever was I'd apologise) I respect the two other guys, would happily buy them a pint etc
