Town boss Mick McCarthy has admitted that he hopes to keep Nigel Reo-Coker at Portman Road until the end of the 2012/2013 season.
The former West Ham midfielder's short term three month contract comes to an end following the game against Cardiff on Saturday and whilst there is no indication on if the player would be open to staying at Portman Road longer or not, Town boss McCarthy would like to retain his services.
“I’ve spoken to Nigel, I’d like to just keep the status quo the same and keep him until the end of the season.” McCarthy confirmed in his usual Thursday press conference at the club.
