Town midfielder Andy Drury says that he is enjoying his time at the club and is determined to extend his stay at Portman Road beyond the end of the season.

The 29 year old, who signed for Town in January 2011 from Luton, for a fee suggested to be around the £150,000 mark, comes to the end of his contract at the end of June and whilst there have been no talks so far regarding a new deal, it is believed the player is very keen to extend his stay at Portman Road.

Speaking ot the Official Club Website, Drury commented: "Of course I would like to stay because Ipswich is a great club, but I don’t know what is happening on that front to be honest.

“Nobody has spoken to me about a new contract and obviously with Mick coming in there has been a lot of change at the club.

“I’m just concentrating on my football and we will just wait and see what happens with that as the season progresses. But, like I said, I would love to stay here as I’m really enjoying myself.”

The midfielder, who wears the number 17 shirt for Town, is hoping that his football between now and the end of the season will do the talking and if he makes a good enough impression, a new deal will be on the table.
