Town's caretaker Manager Chris Hutchings has paid tribute to Josh Carson and Luke Hyam following their return to the side at the weekend for the 3-0 home defeat to fellow strugglers Sheffield Wednesday.
19 year old midfielder Carson made his first start for Town since the 2-1 League Cup defeat to Carlisle United on the 28th August, whilst fellow midfielder Hyam made just his second start since the end of the same month.
Despite Town's 3-0 defeat in the game, Hutchings told ITFC.co.uk "I was pleased with the performances of Luke Hyam and Josh Carson, coming back into the team after a spell out and doing well.
"They both played well and gave us a bit more energy. I want to see them maintain that and to keep pushing to stay in the team.
“They were both bright sparks for us on Saturday in what was obviously a very disappointing day all round. We can take the positives from the young lads’ performances and I was pleased with them both.”
Elsewhere Town are holding a meet the players session in the club's Planet Blue Superstore. The event takes place this Thursday between 2pm to 3pm with five players set to attend.
