Signings confirmed and a couple of million due in!

2.5 million due in

Newcastle have confirmed the signings of Nottingham Forest duo defender Jamaal Lascelles and goalkeeper Karl Darlow for an undisclosed fee.

Lascelles stated upon the signing:

"It's a huge step up for me. Newcastle are a club with a massive fan base, a big history and an unbelievable stadium."

Darlow was if anything more enthusiastic stating:

"I'm delighted for it all to be sorted and I can't wait to get started here at Newcastle.”

"The loan back is going to be another year but it gives me time to develop my game further before I return."

Alan Pardew added:

"It is a real coup to have signed two of the finest young talents in English football outside the Premier League."

Fraser Forster is expected to confirm a 10 million pound move to Southampton, with the sell on percentage Newcastle are expected to pocket around 2.5 million of that fee.

Darlow seems to be full of confidence after claiming he'll be a full england international in the next couple of seasons

I like this sort of move it's been common abroad for decades now, you get class players for a lot less and they get experience.

I'm not so sure about Forster I think he will do well , haven't seen too much of him at Celtic but do remember his reserve team games
I think he will shine , I don't believe he was good enough to take no1 from krull but he would have given more competition for it than p45dues pet brown noser Elliot
I wish the lad best of luck and just wish he was still our second choice
