Or at least not back home to Italy, Italian website TMW have stated that both Roma and AC Milan have been priced out of any move for the defender.

Unable to match either the asking price, or his current wages.

Santon has always maintained his desire to stay on Tyneside, but the Italian press have been equally insistent that he was on his way home.

The player though with a young family on Tyneside, has steadfastly held loyal to Newcastle and unless, the Italian duo increase their offers, Tyneside is where he will stay.
