Once upon a Newcastle!

Doomed?

Sunday, so it’s obviously time for the weekly madness that grips, journalists and editors while they desperately attempt to fill their pages with the mad, bad and very occasionally correct transfer tales.

Various: Wilfred Bony not interested in Newcastle move, wants top six, top six of where not actually stated.

Not actually mentioned in this, is the fact, that if we were not penny pinching (as usual) he would already be a Newcastle player.

Express: We are said to be battling with Chelsea for the signature of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund.

So no prizes for guessing who will win that one!

BILD: Newcastle still in the chase for Hertha Berlin’s Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

TV Commentary: mentioned we were one of a host of clubs after Colombian forward Victor Ibarbo.

Chronicle: Oliver Bernard, reckons our pursuit of Clement Grenier, is doomed to failure because of the lack of European football in our future.

The world cup has actually brought, the usual ton of articles down to the minimum, so unfortunately we can’t read that Ashley got a bit tipsy last night and bought us Messi.

Still next week maybe.
