Newcastle United play host to Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon on the back of a defeat in London last weekend. They go into the game on the back of four defeats and two wins from their last six games. Palace travel on the back of three defeats, two draws and win from their last six.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew serves the second game of his stadium ban leaving John Carver in charge of the team on the day.

Davide Santon (tonsillitis), Rob Elliot (knee), Mathieu Debuchy (groin) and Loic Remy (calf) are all unavailable but Sammy Ameobi (knee) and Hatem ben Arfa (injury and compassionate leave) return.

Palace are missing Marouane Chamakh (hamstring) and Dwight Gayle (ankle) but Barry Bannan (illness) and Danny Gabbidon (fitness) are both hopeful to be included.

Pardew said ahead of the game;

"It's all about Hatem with Hatem, and he looks in a much better place.

If he brings the right ingredients, the work-rate, the ability to the pitch for us, then he can be influential."

Fact: Newcastle are still yet to score a league goal from an English player this season. The last English player to score a league goal for Newcastle was James Boxing Day 2012.

Fact: Palace haven’t won on the road in 5 games (since Boxing day)

Fact: Newcastle are unbeaten in their last 5 games against Crystal Palace.

Hopefully whatever has been going on in hba's private life is sorted and he can get back to playing football.

Dummett has scored for us this season and he is english

HBA is definitely not known for his work-rate and loses the ball far too easily so I feel down-hearted already that Pardew is depending on him.

Hoping Gouffran isn't badly injured. Not sure HBA would be effective if introduced now

We really must get the first goal.
Too much passing back from our team when we should be going forward and more of our players need to get in the box.

im kind of starting to feel a bit sorry for cisse now, earlier in the seasob he ran round like a headless chicken but now he's looking like a footballer and having some good shots he's just not getting the bit of luck he needs.

de jing needs to stop dropping so deep and support cisse

we are reverting to carvers default setting of high balls as far up the pitch as we can get it without the players to do it, we need to play it through them not over them
