Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling has admitted an FA betting charge and requested a personal hearing before hearing his punishment. The 24 year old is reported to have admitted "multiple breaches of rule E8b for misconduct in relation to betting.

The FA statement read:

"Newcastle United’s Daniel Gosling has admitted an FA charge in relation to multiple breaches of Rule E8(b) for misconduct in relation to betting.

Gosling has requested a personal hearing, the date of which will be set in due course. "

This is the first time the allegations have made public and no further details have been released. The FA statement comes a day ahead of a statement on Alan Pardew's punishment for his touchline behaviour.
