Newcastle United travel to Hull City for tomorrow afternoon�s game on the back of a much needed win against Aston Villa last weekend. Newcastle have won two, lost three and drawn one of their last six games, but are currently holding on to 8th place in the Premier League.

Hull are 10 points behind Newcastle in 11th and have won three, drawn two and lost just one of their last six games in all competitions.

Hull City will welcome back Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic – both were left out of the FA cup game in midweek. Paul McShane (ankle) and Robbie Brady (groin) are Hull’s only long term injured.

Hatem ben Arfa (knock), Davide Santon (knee) and Gabriel Obertan (knee) are still all unavailable for Newcastle United. For Alan Pardew having only two players out injured who would have featured is a bonus after the last few weeks where the team has been tested with suspensions and injuries to key players.

However it was announced this afternoon that Fabricio Coloccini, who has just come back from injury, will now miss the game after a family bereavement. Colo has been granted leave to travel to Argentina and isn't expected to be back until the 8th March.

Loic Remy returned last weekend and despite it taking 92 minutes, he got Newcastle a much needed win at St James Park and Pardew will be hoping he can do the same on the road this weekend.

Pardew said ahead of the game;

"This is a tough place to go. They’ve only conceded 10 goals all year. They’ve only been beaten four times at home. This is a tough game for us.

But we mustn’t think we’ve beaten Villa and everything’s OK.”

Fact: Loic Remy continues to be the player caught off side the most this season (29).

Fact: Newcastle have created 35 clear cut chances this season compared to Hull who have had 19.

Fact: A win for Newcastle will be their 100^th Premier League away win.

I hope Cisse comes on at some point as I'm sure the more he plays the more confident he will be. It would be great if he could become the goal-scoring machine he was when we first got him.

cisse will get 15/20mins at the end i would think.

Sissoko needs to be finding that space in the box more often when debuchy has the ball he's shown he's able to find the player with cut backs like that

he's going to get more opportunity to attack through the centre where he wants to be now cabaye has left.

Its good to see that we are still going for it rather than sit back on a 2 goal advantage like we often do

I think that De Jong is showing that he can be a good partner with Remy. Good game from him, even though he havent scored yet..

Good game, although we were a bit lucky at some times, where Hull could have levelled the game.

The most surprising thing for me in this game was, how different we played from last match. Can confidence really mean that much??

Would have loved if we picked up Jelavic from Everton, or is he just on loan?

they bought him for about £4million i think.

confidence will be a big factor but so will having tiote and remy back and all the media have stopped writing about cabaye leaving so the players are finally getting over his departure and not being constantly told our season is over because our best player has left
