  Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow evening on the back of four defeats and draw and a win from their last six games. Tottenham travel on the back of three wins, two defeats and a draw from their last six.  

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew confirmed the injury to Mathieu Debuchy earlier this week who will miss the game with a calf probelm and is expected to return after the FA Cup weekend which Newcastle have no part in.

Pardew is also without Cheik Tiote (hamstring) and Fabricio Coloccini (knee), however, Papiss Cisse (back), Yoan Gouffran (muscle) and Gabriel Obertan (knee) all had expected return dates for tomorrow night but there has been no indication from the club as to whether they will all be fit in time. Loic Remy will serve the final of a three game suspension.

Tottenham could give Andres Townsend (hamstring) his first start in 8 weeks. He was given a run out at the weekend as a substitute but made it clear he is ready to get back into action. Erik Lamela (thigh) and Vlad Chiriches (back) are both unfit.

Fact: If Newcastle lose tomorrow night it will be the first time since 1987 that they have lost 4 consecutive home games in the League.

Fact: Newcastle have an unbeaten record at home against Tottenham spanning nearly a decade. They last won in 2004.

Fact: Tottenham have lost just two games away from home in their last 12 (against Arsenal and Manchester City).

I'm glad I wasn't able to watch this match, it sounds like we were dreadful.

Alan Pardew speaking on the BBC website looked near to tears. The only good thing he said about our performance was that we had brought 2 or 3 good saves from the Spurs keeper.

we weren't the best in the first half, Santon struggled and was rightly replaced at half time, i thought our second half performance was good, we had good posession and when marveaux and hba came on spurs struggled at times we just didn't take our chances and lloris pulled of some excellent saves

One of the most inept performances I have had the misfortune to witness. Made worse by the p155ing rain.

I could be here all day about the players but have to get on. Taylor was a total disgrace and all over the place. F00king fans around me putting the blame on Williamson though. Unbelievable. They only played with one up front.

Cisse is just a shadow of himself and thought it was a strange one to start him. Sissoko is just an athlete and should be nowhere near the captains armband.

Ben Arfa was just a f00king disgrace when he came on. He can have no complaints about not playing/starting.

For me one of the bright spots of this season is the transformation in Williamson he looks more confident and rightly so. He makes the long runs up to help with the corners and if a header clears our penalty area it is more likely to have been Williamson on the end of it.

Stephen Taylor isn't half as good as he thinks he is, he makes some very bad decisions.

As for HBA (He's Bloody Awful) my opinion of him hasn't changed.

I'm not surprised David Santon struggled, I think I'm right in saying he has played in every Premier League match this season.

I didn't realise they had made Sissoko the captain for last night. He certainly doesn't deserve it.
Not much to choose from looking at the rest of the line up I probably would have given it to Krul.

i cant think of anyone i would have given the armband to.

I was thinking during the match that it was time to bring Mbiwa back in and get willo away from taylor before he drags him back down, ive always thought Taylor was a decent defender but this season he has been rubbish.

Santon was poor but it didn't help that he had Ameobi in front of him who did nothing defensively, we seem to be struggling to find a left sided midfielder, a good option might be to play santon, dummett or haidara in midfield and they can help whoever is playing at LB.

Cisse is no where near his best but showed glimpses last night of his old self, i think he needs to play a few games with someone upfront rather than on his own and he might start to improve.

I agree mental. My own choice would be a midfielder, someone who can lead the charge yet remain in touch with the defence.
