Santon Forced To Join Injury List

Newcastle United defender Davide Santon has pulled up in the game against Fulham with what appeared to be a hamstring problem. The 22 year old limped off in the 16th minute of the game, forcing manager Alan Pardew to make his first substitution, with Vurnon Anita replacing him.

Santon joins, James Perch, Massadio Haidara, Hatem Ben Arfa, Fabricio Coloccini, Mathieu Debuchy and Cheik Tiote on the injury list, leaving Pardew with less and less option each week.

its timing is unfortunate but from recent displays he could do with a break from the team, he's played probably 90% of the games this season and more than any other player but has looked jaded recently!
