Stoke City manager Tony Pulis felt hard done by after the side's defeat to Newcastle at St James Park yesterday, believing that Papiss Cisse should have been sent off in a game which he felt they should have taken points from. Pulis emphasised his disappointment for the team, blaming bad defending and mistakes, rather than a good performance from Newcastle for the overall result.

Pulis said;

"We are really disappointed and we shot ourselves in the foot, the first goal we gave them - it is a dreadful mistake from Glenn (Whelan) and he has held his hand up and they have scored a free-kick from that.

The second, I am not so sure Papiss Cisse should have been on the pitch, I know he scores but he raised his hands and caught Marc Wilson and Ryan Shawcross.

But that is the way it is going for us and we are really disappointed and sums up our season away from home, where we have played really well at times and should have taken points and this is another game we have taken none from.

Newcastle had some good play in front of us and to the side, but aside from the goals I don't think Asmir [Begovic] has had a save to make. I know that is football.

I am very disappointed for the lads because they have put such an effort in today and away from home this year I think we have played better than any time in the Premier League.

But we have just not had the results and we have shot ourselves in the foot, it is not Newcastle it is our bad defending or mistakes that have cost us the result.

We should be a lot more points better off, no question of a doubt and that is disappointing but we have got good spirit, good characters in the group and hopefully we can bounce back."

He appears to have missed Peter Crouch handling the ball, for which he wasn't even booked...

Bitter and twisted sh*te manager, looks like a pedo and all. His team are butter wouldn't melt of course, doesn't like it when the boots in the other foot does he? Truly ville football club.

I didn't see Cisse raise his hand to Marc Wilson but with shawcross it was a push rather than hitting him but why was Shawcross involved? He didn't need to be it wasn't as if any of our players had run over to attack Wilson and he was outnumbered!

NUFC players went over to defuse the situation Styoke players got involved escalating the situation!

Its about time the FA got really tough with these sort of incidents and book everyone who gets involved unneccessarily!

As for Pulis this is a typical comment, he makes so many excuses and makes comments to try and mask how bad his team plays football and their misdemeanours.

Having said all that it is a bit worrying how amny of these situations Cisse has got himself into over the last few games in fact i think it has been every game since Chelsea, have teams noticed how hot headed he can be and are trying to get him to react?
