Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has packed his bags and travelled back to Argentina after being diagnosed with two broken bones in his back. The 31 year old landed badly whilst playing against Southampton in February. Manager Alan Pardew has confirmed the injury and the news that Coloccini could be out for up to seven weeks.
Pardew told the Press;
“Colo has gone back to Argentina.
There’s no treatment he can have – he’s broken two of the bones in his back. We think it’s going to be anything between three and seven weeks. He’s gone back for a week.”
