Newcastle United have been drawn against Brighton and Hove Albion for the second consecutive year in the FA Cup. Newcastle will travel to the Amex Stadium on either the 5th or 6th of January 2013 for the third round cup tie.
On 28th January, earlier this year, Newcastle travelled to the South Coast in the fourth round of the FA Cup and were defeated 1-0 by Brighton, when Mike Williamson scored an own goal to knock his side out of the competition.
Big games to come out of the draw include, Swansea hosting Arsenal, Southampton taking on Chelsea at St Mary’s and West Ham hosting Manchester United at Upton Park
to be honest this season the way we're playing i dont care about the cups, we should use it as another game to continue the development of the reserves
I'm always more anxious when we get a small club in the draw. We've had some bad losses in the past.
I agree with using this game to develop some of our younger players mentalman. We have enough on our plate without adding trying to win the FA Cup to the list.
