Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye will have a scan on his ankle after being stretchered off against Queens Park Rangers in the 23rd minute of the game. Cabaye went down after a challenge by Shaun Derry, before rising again to confront the player. He then went to ground for the second time before seeking treatment from Newcastle medics.
The medical team have confirmed that there is an injury to the ankle (not foot) and that he will need a scan to properly diagnose it, but they also said it doesn't look to be anything too serious. He was replaced by Hatem Ben Arfa and Derry was booked for the tackle.
