Newcastle United have signed Davide Santon from Italian side Inter Milan in a 5 year deal. The 20 year old, who was loaned out to Cesena between January and May of this year, made 9 starts for the Serie A side and 2 substitute appearances during his spell at the club.
The defender is known to play on the left or the right and is seen as a replacement for Jose Enrique who left to join Liverpool earlier in the transfer window.
Santon has been committed to Inter Milan since the age of 14 when he joined the club, but his move to Newcastle which is rumoured to be worth £5million to the Italian side see’s a new start for him and he will wear the number 3 shirt.
Santon is Newcastle United’s 6th signing of the transfer window.
