Andy Carroll On The Move...........Why?

By Gallowgate Luke

It has been reported that both Birmingham City and Stoke City have expressed an interest in Newcastle United's young centre forward Andy Carroll. Surely the Gateshead born lad would not and could not seriously consider a move to either club?

Football-wise such a move would be none beneficial both financially and professionally? No one can seriously consider Birmingham or Stoke as european football contenders or as FA cup finalists?
Despite its problems in recent years, Newcastle United Football Club still remains a big and respected club with a fiercely loyal fanbase.

Chris Hughton seems to have confidence and trust in Carroll's skills and abilities and Andy would do well to continue to accept Hughton's belief in him and play his football at St James's Park.

What could either side offer him that a future at Newcastle cannot? If the team knocking at the door were a Champions League side with many more realistic chances of silverware, the reports could perhaps be believed and the temptation to move his career forward, understood, but Stoke City or Birmingham?

Thoughts?

What a load of Bull, he ain't going anyway. He will want first team football in the top flight of which we can offer. I think he will hold fire until the end of the season, if we stay up then he will stay and if we go down then he will go
