England continued their upper hand over the olde enemy, by easing to a crushing eight wicket win in Durham, to clinch the five match series, with still one game to play....

After hopes were ended of a 5-0 whitewash, thanks to the rain at Edgbaston in midweek, England were in no mood to let up the pressure on a disapointing Australian team.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl first in seamer friendly conditions, Steven Finn continued his push for a place in the test side, with a superb spell of fast bowling.

Claiming early wickets of Warner and a first baller for Peter Forrest, Finn was unplayable at times, and he took another double blow later in the Australian innings, when he accounted for skipper Michael Clarke (43) and a first ball duck for Michael Wade.

Had it not been for a battling 70 from David Hussey, the visitors would not have reached the 200-9 that they did.

It was a good turnaround for Australia though, having been 96-6 at one point.

Still, it was never going to be enough for this current England one day side, as Bell and Cook put on 70 for the opening wicket, and once Trott had completed yet another one day half century, the writing was on the wall as England took a 3-0 lead in the series.

I thought Australia would have put up a bit of a fight, the West Indies looked a better side earlier in the summer!
