Warwickshire bowler Chris Woakes has replaced Jade Dernbach in the England One Day Squad, with the Surrey paceman released on compassionate grounds in the wake of the tragic death of team mate Tom Maynard.
Promising 23 year old Maynard was found dead on Monday morning, after being hit by a tube train, and there is sure to be an emotional feel to the second one day international between England and the West Indies at the Oval, which is Maynard's home ground.
Dernbach was of course his Surrey team mate, and England have moved quickly to release him and bring Woakes into the squad.
Monday's press conference at the ground, ahead of the 50 over match, was cancelled as a mark of respect.
Many pundits in the game, have paid tribute to Tom Maynard, who was the son of Matthew, a highly entertaining batsman in his own right, and Tom himself was tipped to gain England honours in the future.
His tragic passing, leaves a massive shadow over the Oval one day international.
Play gets underway at 11am on Tuesday 19th June.
