England wicketkeeper Matt Prior will get an early look at the West Indies, when he lines up for his county side, Sussex, in the three day warm up game ahead of the test series which starts on May 17th at Lord's....

Prior will be alongside Monty Panesar in the Sussex line up, as the tourists look to get into gear ahead of the three test series.

Although the weather is most definately not at it's warmest, the West Indian bowling attack will be looking to control the swinging ball, and to also make the rest of the England team, sit up and take notice that they are here to mount a serious challenge.

Many people, feel that should the weather stay fair, then England should run away with a 3-0 home series win, although Prior isn't of that viewpoint.

“We certainly won’t be underestimating West Indies,” he explained. “They look a very tough team and I know Ottis Gibson pretty well, he’s a very proud man and he’ll be working them very hard to make sure they put very good performances in against us."

On the subject of playing in the tour warm up game, Prior told ecb.co.uk "It will be good to get a first look at all of their bowlers and hopefully I can get a few runs along the way as well.”

The opening test match is at Lord's on 17th May.
