Randolph

A few things have happened down Fir Park way over the last 24 hours. Randolph in International squad, tickets selling well and last game on Sky

Darren Randolph has been called into the Republic of Ireland squad once again, this time for the last two games of the Nations Cup against Scotland and N. Ireland in Dublin at the end of the month.

Hopefully he will pick up his first cap this time after sitting on the bench during his first call up earlier in the season.

This is a fitting reward for his outstanding contribution to our season with a record number of clean sheets. The only down side is this can only attract clubs to have a look at him, although the upside of that is his transfer value must increase.

Cup Final ticket sales are sitting at approx 10000 after only four days of sales, and it looks as though there will be no full general sale. Bank Holiday Monday was obviously the big day for sales, and there is every likelihood the sales will be busy on Saturday once again.

Let’s hope we can prove to everyone that we deserve at least the 16000 allocation by selling them out by early next week, well ahead of the final.

Finally today it was announced the game at Celtic Park on the last day of the season will be shown on Sky TV.

After last night’s result there is every chance this could actually be a meaningless tie and only seen as a Cup Final Dress rehearsal, although if we get to that stage I am sure the sides will be nothing like those that will line up against each other on 21st May.
