Cup final tickets selling well

Well fans

Cup Final tickets went on sale yesterday and we sold almost 8000 tickets in one day, where were all these people on Saturday though?

Season ticket holders took advantage of the opportunity to get their tickets ahead of the general sale in big numbers yesterday. It is reported approx 8000 tickets were sold yesterday, if everyone took the four tickets they were allowed that means 2000 season ticket holders turned up.

This means half of the reported 16000 allocation has been sold in one day, and with just under three weeks to go, surely the allocation will sell out.

It also seems to be encouraging season ticket sales for next season with many of the tickets being sold to people buying them yesterday – good move by the club that one!!

While it is great we should be looking at why we can sell 8000 tickets in one day for the Cup final but only about 3000 Well fans turned up for the game with Rangers on Saturday with huge swathes of empty seats around the stadium.

This was disappointing with many season ticket holders posted missing, but then prepared to stand for four hours in a queue for tickets for the big day.

I suppose that is football and we will never change that….
