After last week’s win over Celtic, who knows what to expect as we travel to Inverness tomorrow.
Given the way things have gone this season who knows what to expect this season, having lost to St. Mirren no one expected us to have any chance against Celtic last week.
But of course we got in the faces of Celtic and won the game relatively comfortably, now we travel to Inverness hoping to secure three more points which would help secure a top six place.
This has always been an intriguing fixture with the home team always coming off worst in these games, therefore this is another portent for a Motherwell win.
But on the other hand if a team is struggling and on bad run as Inverness are, then we are the team you want to be playing. Inverness have won something like 2 in the last 16, this always makes me fear the worst.
Even after four or five years away it is still strange to see Terry Butcher in the dug out, and I guess it will be strange for Stuart McCall as well as he comes up against his former team mate for the first time as a Manager.
If we can get a draw from this one I would be delighted….
Team selection will be interesting with Craigan and Saunders available again, but the defence played so well last week. McCall may also want to change from the slightly defensive formation of last week to a more normal 4-4-2 and bring back in Franny Jeffers.
