Another stiker signs up - on loan this time

After fears earlier in the week we would be adding no one to the squad, the club have reacted and snapped up a second striker in two days, with Nick Blackman joining on loan from Blackburn Rovers

The 20 year old sign on loan for six months after travelling up from Lancashire last night.

Similar to Lukas Jutkiewicz last season the youngster has already had loan spells at a number of clubs as he looks to establish himself at Ewood Park. The Rovers and the player have obviously looked at how a similar move for Jutkiewicz helped him develop last season.

He will be in the squad for tomorrow's game with Hibs, but I would expect he will start on the bench alongside this week's other signing Esteban Casagolda as Brown will look to stick with his current strike force of Murphy and Sutton.

At least this now gives the manager some options up front, whereas in recent weeks we had looked extremely light in this area,
