Midfielder leaves The Gas

Midfielder Anthony Evans has his evening left Bristol Rovers to join League One rivals Huddersfield Town. Its believed Evans leaves Rovers for a fee in the region of £450,000 rising to £600,000 with add-ons. The 25-year-old has signed a three-year deal with Huddersfield Town. Evans made 142 appearances in all competitions for the Gas, scoring 26 goals after joining Rovers in the summer of 2021 and played a massive part in helping Rovers win promotion back to League One at the first attempt.

With only one year remaining on Evans contract it was always likely that Evans would move on this summer. Its good that Rovers have moved on last years Player Of The Season early, giving Taylor time to find his replacement.
