Late drama at The Memorial Stadium.
Bristol Rovers came from a goal down to snatch a much-deserved point deep into injury against promotion-chasing Derby County.
Manager Joey Barton made two changes to the side that beat Fleetwood last time out, In came Harry Anderson and Scott Sinclair with Anthony Evans and John Marquis moving to the bench. Rovers didn't get off to the best start with Derby striker David McGoldrick putting The Rams 1-0 up inside the first five minutes. Rovers did start slowly but after around 15 minutes THe Gas started to get back into the game and from this point on were in control of the game. Rovers were pushing to draw level but both Sinclair and Loft wasted good chances to put Rovers back on level terms.
Derby was sitting back getting as many men behind the ball as possible with the keeper wasting time every moment he had the ball, his time-wasting antics would come back to bite him though. In the 95th minute, Anthony Evans was fouled in the box to earn Rovers a penalty and the midfielder stepped up to smash the ball home.
