Adam Phillips joins Bradford City

Adam Phillips has joined Bradford City on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.

 

The 28-year-old had one-year left on his contract after Barnsley activated a one-year extension clause at the end of last season. 

 

The midfielder spent four seasons at Oakwell, where he got 43 goals and 27 assists. 

 

The undisclosed fee is reported to be a six-figure sum. 

 

Phillips always guaranteed 10+ goals every season and was a top performer for the level. 

 

There were questions about whether he would fit in Stendel’s system, however he put up numbers under several different managers with their own systems and ideas. 

 

The midfielder’s output will need to be replaced with good recruitment.
