Will We Have Any Players Left?

Tomasz Cywka is the latest player to reject an offer of a new deal with Barnsley.

Cywka follows Stephen Dawson in rejecting the reds and looks set to leave Oakwell.

With two players rejecting contracts and no senior players having yet signed deals then questions certainly need to be asked at Oakwell.

We supposedly have a competitive budget for League One; can this be the case if players are rejecting our contracts?

Or is there simply more to it? Agent’s advice could play a part, maybe they have Championship interest or maybe they feel they would be happier elsewhere. Cywka hasn’t been a regular and Dawson was abused by his own fans so maybe they just want to move on.

I believe that all of the above will play a part but I am also led to believe that the wages we are offering can be bettered by many League One clubs.
