Desparate For A Win

A Friday night derby at Kingsholm gives Gloucs the perfect opportunity to get the season on track and get the first win of the campaign. Defeat is not an outcome any Cherry and White wants to contemplate.

Only Newcastle Red Bulls have a worse record,  which is a small comfor but with their backing you cannot see that situation lasting too long. As a result, Gloucs need to get the points sooner rather than later.

There are changes - some tactical some through injury,  notably to Seb Atkinson whose knee and hip injury from last week does not require surgery.

In the front row Afo Fasogbon is back with Hugh Bokenham coming in at No.8 .

Tomos Williams has to sit this one out so Caolan Englefield will be at scrum half and Max Llewellyn starting at centre following Atkinson's injury. On the bench,  former Hartpury scrum-half Mike Austin will be poised for his Gloucs debut.

Our derby rivals have made a more than decent start with two wins, including a close 18-14 defeat of the Chiefs last week where Scotland back Tom Jordan was sent off for a high tackles so he's banned for this one.
