Gloucester's 90 point capitulation at league leaders Northampton Saints is a record Premiership defeat. Skipper Lewis Ludlow summed it up on Twitter/X "We know @gloucesterrugby supporters are angry and embarrassed. So are we. That was nowhere near good enough for this shirt. We won’t shy away from why today happened, but, we have a massive two weeks ahead and we need you with us please!"
It's the correct message. If Glaws can beat winless Falcons followed by a Challenge cup final win over comparitively easy opposition in Sharks then will all be forigiven?
Probably not by by those supporters who travelled to Northampton and then had to sit with their heads in their hands while their side was completely demolished. Not scoring a single point was possibly the hardest thing to endure.
The sword is out of its scabbard and if the Cherry and Whites fail to win these next two games George Skivington will most probably have to fall on it.
