Ouch?

The only saving grace  thing about the 51-26 defeat by Bristol Bears was that the Cherry and Whites somehow earned a try bonus point.

George Skivington's side were outmuscled and out thought from the first whistle as they succumbed to their sixth defeat in a row.

Perhaps fortunately the next game is in the European Challenge Cup with a trip to Georgia to take on Black Lion in Tbilisi. Skivington and his coaches will be looking to the European games to regroup, find some new motivation and perhaps a line-up which the players find more comfortable.

Certainly none of that was on show at Ashton Gate where Bears raced into a 29-7 half-time lead.

For the record Gloucester's four try bonus point came from the double barrels of Louis Rees-Zammitt and Jamal Ford-Robinson.

Skivington told the media: "We have lost the ferocity of our pack and we are looking like a bit of everything. From the outset we expected it to be fast and furious but Bristol were really sharp and we were chasing shadows after that."
