Two To Go

Ackermann Returns

By New Cherry
May 20 2022

Gloucs return to action after a week's lay-off with two massive games as they look to secure a tip four place. It won't be easy with Quins at Twickenham this week followed by Sarries on Sarurday June 4th at Kingsholm.

The Cherry and Whites are not favourites to win either game. However, they have the talent to beat any side in the league and most of it will be on show at headquarters against a side which needs the win to guarantee their own top four finish.

There are four changes to the side which lost to Sarries in the Challenge Cup quarter-final - Ruan Ackermann, Giorgi Kveseladze, Santiago Socin and Kirill Gotovtsev all start.

Against a Quins side which likes to play it could be an epic with Gloucs fielding same real scoring power in Santiago Carreras (fullback)  Louis Rees-Zammit and Ollie Thorley.

Up front Val Rapava-Ruskin, Santiago Socino and Kirill Gotovtsev will be in the front row wit a potent back row of Ackermann, Ben Morgan and Lewis Ludlow .

After a week off let's hope they all raring to go.
