Tke jury it still out on the fledgling Premiership Cup - but let's face it after the Covid interruption  any competitive rugby is welcome. We have the honour of starting this season's competition with the visit of Bath on Friday night on BT kick off 7.45. Here's the line-ups ..

The idea of the competition is to give young players a chance while internationals are being played. The Gloucs team is a mix of experience and youth with eight players retained from last week - Andrew Davidson and Freddie Clarke in the second row and in the back row Ruan Ackermann, Ben Morgan and Lewis Ludlow.

Tom Seabrook comes in at outside centre, Jake Morris and Alex Morgan on the wings and at full back Kyle Moyle returns.

A reminder that the competition is spilt into three regional groupsf with the winners going through to the semis together with the runner-up with the best playing record. In addition to Bath we have Wuss, Chiefs and Bristol.

A Tiger here. Not really the spirit of the competition to field a first XV against a development side
