The performance which was hinted at in recent weeks finally arrived as the Cherry and Whites dominated Saints in all departments of the game. If anything the 31-7 scoreline flattered the home side.

Louis Rees-Zammitt scored a superb first try and doubly celebrated his Lions call-up with another which earned Gloucs a bonus point.

Gloucs had all the energy and aggression against a side which needed five points to maintain their assault on the top four.  The Saints' performance has been described as lacklustre - but then it would be if they weren't allowed to have the ball.

After young Louis broke the ice Ed Slater and Jack Singleton also increased the Gloucs score  after half-time. 

Henry Taylor got a consolation try for Saints, but that didn't spoil the Cherry and Whites celebration of the biggest win of the season.
